Welcome to Mosman Junior Rugby Club

Blue Card

In matches of U13s and older, when a player leaves the field due to concussion, or suspected concussion, the referee will show the player a Blue Card. The Blue Card is a visual cue for team support staff, it must be recorded by team officials, and triggers an off-field medical process, detailed in Rugby Australia’s Concussion Procedure.

The player must be assessed on the sideline by the attending qualified first-aider and given Rugby Australia’s concussion management paperwork. The player can not return to play that day, or for a minimum of 19 days. The paperwork outlines the correct procedures to follow during that time.
